--------- When Soldret arrived at the grand training arena — an enormous open-air stadium carved into the mountainside with tiered stone seating surrounding a vast central field — it was already packed with spectators. He found a good spot in the viewers' seats and settled in, his enhanced senses allowing him to see and hear everything with crystal clarity. The sparring field buzzed with chatter. Some disciples were excitedly placing bets, while others simply admired the two fighters standing in the center. The atmosphere was lively and electric until the Sword Peak practitioner finally spoke, his voice carrying clearly across the arena. "Senior, don't go against your words. If I manage to take three strikes from you, you will do as I said…" The spear wielder sighed, looking slightly annoyed. "What words? I never said anything. You're just dragging me into this… but fine then. Let's see if you can really take it." He turned his spear, releasing a powerful ripple of air that made almost everyone in the stands stumble, including Soldret and the Sword Peak practitioner. The Sword Peak practitioner made the first move. He twisted the handle of his sword, sending energy spreading across the ground in an attempt to bind the spear user legs. Then he lunged forward at incredible speed, disappearing mid-charge only to suddenly reappear right in front of the spear wielder, his sword already slicing toward his neck. The spear wielder moved effortlessly, as if the restraint on his legs had never existed. He raised his spear, blocked the attack cleanly, then twisted it and sent the blade hurtling toward the sword wielder's head. The Sword Peak practitioner vanished in a flash. In his place appeared one of his swords, taking his previous position, while he reappeared floating directly beside Yan Wusheng, his other large sword already swinging down. But Yan Wusheng moved casually, almost lazily, and lightly tapped the sword wielder with the butt of his spear. The force was immense. The Sword Peak practitioner was sent flying across the entire arena. He tore off some of his hair and switched places with one of his swords, using both blades to defend himself and slide along the ground, barely preventing himself from falling off the edge. Even so, he spat out a mouthful of blood. "First move," Yan Wusheng said calmly. "Two more to go." The crowd erupted in cheers and gasps. Soldret watched with wide eyes, his heart pounding. The level of power on display was breathtaking. He couldn't even fathom how the sword wielder could switch positions with his blades, but the spear wielder's ability to ward off the attack and counter at the same time while making it look effortless was even more terrifying. The gap in strength was painfully obvious. The Sword Peak practitioner stood up, wiping the blood from his mouth with his sleeve and getting into position once more. This time he drew both swords at the same time and let them levitate in the air before they spun violently toward Yan Wusheng. The sword bearer kicked one of them forward. The blade shot out at blinding speed, striking the spot where the spear wielder had been an instant earlier. But the attack missed — Yan Wusheng had already jumped upward to avoid it. Out of nowhere, the sword bearer appeared above him, ready to strike him down. Yan Wusheng dodged midair and kicked him at the same time. But the sword user had already anticipated it. He tore off a few strands of his hair and brought back his other sword, using both blades to deflect the attack and turn midair to stabilize his footing while falling toward the ground. Without resting, he lunged forward again toward the now descending spear wielder, refusing to give him any breathing room. Yet the spear wielder dodged every strike with casual ease. "Time for the second strike…" he said as he raised his spear, turned it sideways, and struck downward toward the approaching sword wielder. The blow landed directly, though the sword wielder manage
