[93] Chapter - 57: Battle under the stormy forest. (Part - 1/2) The five newcomers stood frozen for a moment, their eyes slowly scanning the scene before them. The bodies of their brethren were scattered around the dying fire, lifeless and cold, their blood seeping into the soil beneath them. The metallic scent of iron filled the air, mingling with the smell of damp leaves as the wind picked up. None of them spoke for a moment, but their faces hardened. Then Magha’s voice suddenly echoed in Eklavya’s mind. ‘There are three four-star Master Warriors, one five-star, and the one standing at the front… is a seven-star Master Warrior. Be careful with this one.’ Eklavya’s gaze narrowed slightly behind the mask. ‘Yeah,’ he said calmly through their mental link. ‘I already figured that I would be facing tougher opponents when I chose to go it alone.’ Before him, the seven-star Master Warrior moved slowly to the front. He stretched his shoulders and turned his head from side to side, the joints of his neck cracking softly as if he were warming up for a fight. His eyes roamed the clearing before finally coming to rest on Eklavya. Then he smiled faintly. “Ah…” he said nonchalantly. “So you’re the one who killed them.” His voice was devoid of sadness or any kind of anger. It was almost as if the dead men in front of him were nothing more than used-up tools. Eklavya watched him silently. The wind swept past the clearing again. “Yeah,” Eklavya said coldly. “So what?” The seven-star warrior let out a brief laugh. “Nothing,” he said, shrugging his shoulders slightly. “I just wanted to confirm.” His eyes narrowed suddenly as he spoke. “After all… it would be embarrassing if we killed the wrong person.” He took another step forward, his hand resting casually on the hilt of his sword. “Because you’re not leaving this forest alive today.” Thunder boomed above the trees. The storm that had been building finally broke. The wind picked up speed, and the first drops of rain began falling through the trees, tapping softly against leaves and armour alike. One of the warriors behind the seven-star stepped forward. He was the five-star Master Warrior Magha had spoken of. His eyes flicked towards the bodies on the ground before returning to Eklavya. “I don’t know how you managed to kill two five-star Master Warriors,” he said slowly, his voice laced with suspicion. “But whatever trick you used… it won’t work again.” He drew his sword with a soft metallic sound. “You might have been lucky before.” Then his gaze turned cold. “But now you’re surrounded.” The three four-star warriors moved quietly into position, spreading out around the clearing. Rain began falling more heavily now, drops striking the ground. The seven-star Master Warrior finally drew his own sword. The blade flashed briefly under a flash of distant lightning. He pointed it at Eklavya. “Let’s see,” he said calmly, “whether the stories about the Dark Ghost Devil are true… or just exaggerated tales.” Eklavya remained stationary in the middle of the clearing as the rain slowly began to seep into the ground around him, then he raised his sword slightly. “Come,” he said softly. The four-star Master Warriors moved simultaneously. The moment the seven-star warrior finished speaking, they charged towards Eklavya from three different angles. Their movements were swift and synchronised. Their footsteps splashed wetly on the damp earth as the rain continued to fall around them. Each of them stood with their swords at the ready, their ki already flowing through their veins as they closed in on Eklavya. They did not charge blindly; instead, they surrounded him as if they already had a strategy to fight in formation. One came from the front, while the other two came from both sides, trying to encircle him and leave him with no way to escape. Their synchronised movements showed that they had fought together before. The five-star and the seven-star Master Warrior, however, simply stood where they were. They
