Asheera took a deep breath, brushing off her clothes. She wasn't as angry, instead she felt as if she wanted to leave everything behind and curl into a ball, weep to her hearts content and wish it would all end. The dread. The anxiety. It ate away at her every second she stood here. Her heart ached with an unknown emotion she tried her best to shake off. This theater of war... is just a preview of what's going to happen on her own world... on a larger scale. She helped bring that to fruition. What made her feel special to not be punished? Why was she able to join the fight? Did she deserve it? Should she be punished. .:. ... .:. Losin kept eyeing Asheera, knowing full well what was going through her with just one look. She felt the same. Felt as if her Soul-Core brothers and sisters died because she didn't do enough. Or that she did everything that was wrong. She was guilty of thinking that she was safe because she had a squad that was extremely efficient. That shall always come back and bite everything she holds dear. Like it already has. Losin closed her eyes and opened them again, a smile forming on her face. Not even a princess can uphold a facade of pure royalty, she supposed. She wanted to ask why she came here. "So, Eria..." She stepped forward, her eyes widening, her pupils returning a green hue. "What the hell's that light?" Asheera turned around, her instincts kicking in. "Get down!" Losin felt a body holding her in a tight embrace, her gasp forcefully exiting from her body as she got pushed down. She couldn't breathe. "W-wh-" A green beam zoomed through where Asheera and Losin stood. They escaped by a hair's strand of width as the green beam impacted a boulder, reducing it to a puddle. Losin couldn't hear her surroundings as her ears were ringing. Asheera covered her mouth, pointing towards the light source. "I got it!" The Captain flew towards a hovering alien-like creature that wielded a sceptre-like weapon. "Ggh-!" A slash from Avernus, met by the alien's sceptre, sending shockwaves towards the duo. The impact sent the alien to the ground with an unsatisfying crack, making it squirm. Its leg, bent in a weird direction. "I YIELD! I YIELD!" The tendrils of the alien-like creature flailed helplessly. The Captain hovered above it, Avernus' tip ready to cut its head off. "Don't move a single inch, you Intrinium fuck." "...Ugh." "Who's the unlucky guy beside you?" "..." It was none other than Heios Kroos, who Jasper picked up after he was defeated by Nanasu. That speed demon completely decimated his guts. The Captain wasn't pleased that this alien brought Heios here to die. Or maybe, the guy with the tendrils wanted a place to heal the injured guy. How noble of him. "You... wouldn't kill a medic, would you?" A hint of half-assed sarcasm emanated from its words, his tendrils continuing to flail helplessly while his arms motioned a shrugging gesture. It didn't help him in this scenario. "Listen- My duty is to heal my allies and get them back to fighting so..." "Don't move." The captain's foot crushed a tentacle, causing the alien to let out a pain-ridden yell. It's blood oozed onto the floor. "... AGHH! F-FUCK! J-JUST HEAR ME OU-" "Shut it, Intrinium dog. You are hereby arrested for complicit terrorism, destruction of public property, and for associating with the Dark Intrinium. You shall be brought into the ship, stripped of your belongings and incarcerated. Your human ally will be taken to the medical bay. Any wrong move you make will result in a quick death for both of you." The Captain was adamant on this. There were no exceptions to this. The alien flailed, shaking in a manner that indicated fear. "... Do I have to? Listen, I really need to get this loser to a safe place and heal him so... We'll be off now!" Jasper grabbed the Captain by his leg and vanish-stepped him above the Kiosk a few meters away, letting him drop down hard. "Gh!" The impact of his body against the metal surface of the kiosk made him lose grip
