Spiker appeared behind him, infusing his claws with Soul-Energy. He planted his own feet against Avu's back and slashed through the back, but it only grazed his skin. “What?” Avu turned around, taking his sword out of Marin. The girl fell, unconscious on the ground with her entrails hanging outside. What a grim sight to see. Avu jumped up, grabbing Spiker by the neck and slammed him down. Avu pointed the Strife-X downwards at the dog, before he lost contact with his own weapon. “AVU! AVU!!” An enraged Maduk tackled him, grabbing his own katana to pierce his heart. He only found himself blocking Avu's attack, who caught his own sword with one hand. What a brute. “Get off me, worm.” Avu smashed the hilt of his huge hunk of metal on the ground, propelling his weapon to the sky, bringing Maduk up with it. With his other hand, he pushed himself up, vanish-stepping in front of Mica. “AH- RGGHH-” Mica was forced off the ground with an open hand strike to her stomach, launching her into a nearby wall. Avu caught his sword before it even landed, watching Maduk fall from the sky. Spiker sprinted and bit on Maduk's clothes, dragging him back and saving him from the fatal fall. Maduk, coughing, tried to thank the wolf but instead watched him run towards Avu once again. “You won't win this! Woof!” Avu vanished from his view. SLAM. A quick and heavy stomp to Spiker's head sent him flying away, slamming his body on the ground once again. The uneven ground pierced through his retina as blood ran down his cheek. His jaw dislocated with a crack as he spat a pool of blood out. “Pathetic.” Avu grabbed Spiker's snout and threw him across the battlefield, vanish-stepping behind him, waiting for the right time to strike his spine with his elbow. .:. G- .:. Spiker curled up into a ball and backflipped, meeting Avu's waiting gaze on his face with a kick. They finally landed a hit on him. Avu's body flew back and slid across the ground, leaving a trail in the dust. Mica crawled to her knees, using her knives to get back on her feet, meeting Maduk with eye contact. She eyed a dying Marin, and her heart broke. Maduk gave her an empty stare. Mica gritted her teeth, knowing that if Maduk and Marin were to be incapacitated by Avu or worse, killed... they had no chance at winning against him. Not that they had a winning chance to begin with. They were up against a Fundamental-Grade Soul-Wielder. And they're ranks under it. Their numbers don't matter. Even if they came at him with a hundred thousand or even a million Soul-Wielders equal to her in strength, it wouldn't have mattered. This Avu Fujimara they were dealing with. The one that answers only to Lord Kytan Veyron. The one that could possibly rival even the Great Kamisword in raw power. Is just a one-man army. If Claude wasn't with the Uprising of Kytron to keep the others busy, if they didn't split up their forces, they could've had the manpower to at least give Avu some challenge... but it's too late. That decision has long been made. Spiker threw punches, kicks, slashes, but Avu only dodged or blocked. Not even a single drop of blood had been drawn on Avu. The damaged Spiker's attacks had caused were insignificant. Mica closed her eyes and then opened them again, looking at Maduk. “Get out of here!” “... What?” “I said, get the fuck out of here! Grab her and run!” Mica ran towards Spiker, throwing multiple knives at Avu to get him away from him. Avu stopped in his tracks, not bothering to look at Mica. “You're not deaf, are you? Run! RUN!” The haziness of all happenings challenged Maduk's mind and his sanity, making it a real effort to even comprehend the fact he's about to lose to a person who he couldn't even lay a hand on. Any set of fingers, calloused or smooth could send Marin into the afterlife, if there is one. The grip on his hilt got tighter as the blood gushed out from Marin's hung-out intestines, as if the blood itself tried to aim for the stars and leave behind the hellish war of a world
