A spaceship floated in space, hull damaged. Smoke rose from the damaged parts. Shield flickered in silence, blaster rays colliding against it as enemies fired. Inside the spaceship "Everyone, take cover." The captain's roar cut through the ship's hull, the shield flickered in space before going offline. The ship swirled with smoke drifting, crossed the atmosphere of a red planet, crashing onto the planet's desert. Dust clouds blanketed the sun, sand falling from the sky. Silence descended onto the wasteland, only broken by the electric sparks from the ship. The ship's intercoms crackled to life. A panicked voice blaring from the ship's cockpit. "Alexander, Alex. Are you there?" The captain, slumped unconscious on the main seat, jerked his head up. His eyes cleared as he staggered towards the intercoms, bleeding from his forehead. "Command. This is Alex. Over." He leaned against the dashboard. Blood flowed down his eyebrows. A deep breath left his lungs, his hands shaking. He held the intercoms close to his body, waiting for a reply. "Alex! What is the situation? Is the squad alright?" "Listen,..." "Velma." "Velma, We dropped the package onto Jakkar. We are currently damaged, with the empire gaining on us. We may not make it out. " Alex vomited blood, body falling back onto the broken seat. Velma’s panicked breathing came through the intercoms, unsteady. When a new voice spoke through the intercoms, "Alex, this is General Xandu." "General." Alex straightened, pain flooding his right arm as the broken bones tightened in his arm. "What is the status of your squad?" "Negative, General." He tilted his head up, sparks flying in the ship as it moved in the sand, sliding down the sand dunes slowly. The sound of engines came from outside, followed by a heavy landing thud. Alex felt the ground vibrate; the Empire’s ships had landed. "General, it was a honor talking to you." "Wait, Alex." Alex shut down the comms, turning towards his teammates, who lay on the ground. He rose from his seat, moving and carrying them towards their seats. He gazed at his teammates. Their bodies already cold as ice. He sat alongside them, strapped into his seat. Footsteps sounded at the hatch. Blaster fire rang against the ship’s doors. Empire troops trying to enter the ship for the package. "So long, enemies." He pressed a red button, lights shut down for a second throughout the ship. The hatch door opened. Empire troops flooded in. "Captain Alex... the child. Where is it?" A man in full black clothing walked from the middle, the troops making way for him. He stood behind the Captain's seat. Turning the seat around, now facing Alex. Only to find him dead, his chest had already stopped rising. A bad feeling rising in the man's chest as he looked at the serene captain, whose lips are raised in a smile. Red lights flashed in their eyes. Their bodies froze in place, terror gripping their hearts as they turned towards the screen. Red lights started to flash around the ship. [SELF DESTRUCT SEQUENCE INITIATED] "Move out!!" The soldiers started to retreat, colliding with each other as they scrambled away from the ship. The ship went off in a huge blast, fire burning into the sky. Pieces of metal rained down from the blast. The Empire's troops stopped at the edge, their footing still unsteady after the hasty retreat. Some troopers still felt their facemasks tremble from the shockwaves. Flames surrounded the spaceship, Captain Anolk nowhere to be seen. The fire engulfing the sand and spreading, melting the surrounding sand into molten glass. "Captain Anolk!" A stormtrooper walked to the front, his voice faint in the sandstorm. The flames parted, a red swirling force field blocking the fire in middle. Anolk stood inside the force field, the force field dissipating as he stepped forward into the fire. "Find me the child." "Yes sir!" The troops scattered, moving into their dropships. Engines burning as they took to the skies. Search continuing; for a child. A mountain ra
