With hastened steps, Yuliana walked across the street, her stride wider than usual. She quickly made her way to the Crown Emerald Dine and entered through the door with a chime. She looked around frantically in search of Blaine when, “Umm, Ma’am could you kindly not s-sleep here? I-it’s not a very good look for our e-establishment,” A young waiter stuttered as he came closer and spoke to a sleeping woman. “Oh?” the sleeping woman woke up, her gold rimmed glasses almost falling off her face. Blaine rubbed her eyes before adjusting her glasses and tidying up her hair. She pulled down on her long blue wool dress and said with a scratch of her head, “Oops! My bad, my friend is pretty late so I fell asleep waiting for her,” she said with a smile as she scratched her cheek. “N-no worries, would you like a coffee?” the young waiter offered. “Hmm, let me see if my friend is here first...” Blaine said as she stood up. She used her hands as visors and looked around. “Oh, there you are!” she waved her hands widely as her eyes landed on Yuliana. “Yeah, I’m sorry for being so late,” Yuliana said as she bowed in apology. She approached Blaine and took a seat opposite to her. “Yeah you better be! I was waiting for so long I even fell asleep!” she said with a pout as she mimicked falling asleep. “I’m so sorry, I had a bit of an ordeal some time back and ended up sleeping through,” she said in an apologetic tone. “Well, what’s done is done. I don’t mind. Oh and I said this before, but the pin really looks great on you,” Blaine said as she bobbed her head in approval. “Hehe, and I have you to thank for it.” “Don’t mention it,” Blaine picked up the menu and asked, “So, did you have anything to eat?” “Yes, but I didn’t have the time to enjoy any drinks so...” Blaine smirked. “Alright! Hey Mr. Waiter!” she waved at him. The young waiter jumped. “Y-yes?” “Could you please give us two cups of tea? Give me jasmine and her...” she glanced at Yuliana. Yuliana thought for a second before replying, “Hmm, I’ll have sweet iced tea.” “Okay, got it,” he scribbled down on his notepad “T-thank you for your order,” he bowed and hurriedly made his exit. Oh? A new face... Heh, must be a new employee. Very fidgety and rather inexperienced. Today is probably his first day at a job. Yuliana chuckled inwardly as she waited for her order. “Although you were late, to be honest, it doesn’t bother me much. More nap time for me. My work piled up a lot and literally devoured me yesterday. I’m so very drained,” she slumped onto the table and let out a tired sigh. “Oh? In that case, you could’ve taken today off you know?” “Nope!” she said as she crossed her hands in front of her. “I said that I’ll meet you today so I have to.” “You saying that makes me feel terrible for making you wait,” Yuliana said as her eyes turned solemn. “C’mon! No need to be down like that. Like I said, it gave me more time to catch up on some sleep. So thanks!” Blaine gave her a thumbs up. Yuliana chuckled. “Alright, if you say so.” “Then,” Blaine let out a yawn. Wiping a tear from her eye, she continued, “Would you like to do some reading today or just head for the organisation?” “If you wouldn’t mind, I’d like to head to the organisation.” Blaine nodded. “Do you have your mask with you?” she added. “Yup,” Yuliana affirmed with a shake of her bag. “Great!” Blaine clapped her hands. “Today, you’ll lead the way.” Yuliana chuckled nervously. “I-I’ll try.” The two of them conversed for a while before the two intricate cups of tea were served in front of them. “H-here you go, madams,” the young waiter said as he gave a polite bow. Yuliana smiled and gave him a small glance as her red eyes narrowed. Instantly, his body froze up. His face turned red and mouth opened as if he was going to say something, before closing shut. Without saying anything, he turned around and walked away with hurried steps. Blaine looked at her with a smirk. She laughed and said, “What was that? That was funny! Did you seduce the
