Yuliana who was dumbstruck by the sudden recruitment notice, coughed into her fist as she changed the subject, “Uhh, are you sure it is such a bright idea to talk about all this inside a public cafe?” Blaine froze. She began to sweat as she looked around and saw everyone minding their own business. “You don’t think they heard me do you?” she whispered to her. Yuliana chuckled. “Oh they definitely did, but I don’t think they care enough to listen. You sound just like usual. To them, it probably sound like we were talking about our books. So I don’t think you have to worry so much.” “You think so?” Blaine let out a sigh of relief. She added, “Anyways, what do you think of my offer? Are you interested?” she said as she leaned in closer. Yuliana arched away a bit as she replied, “Are you sure you can just recruit me out of the blue?” “Course! I may not be a top member, but I have enough pull in the organisation to choose whether to recruit someone or not. Don’t worry, a little nepotism never hurts. Besides, the leader seemed interested in you. I don’t think she’ll just shun you away and at the end of the day, it’s never bad to have one more Artisan. So I guess you’ll be welcomed with open arms.” The leader again... Although I am very interested, I don’t know enough about the organisation to just decide to join. They did save Blaine from those Artisan bandits and judging by how she turned out under their care, they don’t seem like an evil bunch. But still, you can’t tell what rot might lie underneath. I’d like some more info if I could. But I assume Blaine won’t just tell me the structure of their organisation even if we’re good friends. There are somethings which you just can’t disclose and it’d be tactless to ask. So my best bet would be Evan. And he just had to be gone! What do I do...? she thought as her brows furrowed slightly. She replied, “Hmm, this seems like a very important decision. I’d like to take some time before I can say yes. Could you perhaps, give me a day to think about it?” Blaine looked at her and then fell into her own thoughts. She nodded. “Huh, now that I think about it, it must’ve been quite the surprise for you, getting recruited like that.” So you actually get it now! Yuliana thought in jest as her brows twitched. “Alright, I’ll give you time. Make sure to have an answer ready by the next time we meet!” she said as she smiled at her. She then opened her pocket watch and checked the time. “Oh crap!” she exclaimed with a surprised expression. “Look at the time! I’m running late. My son must be hungry, I’ll have to make do with some store bought food today. Gotta make a run for it,” she began packing up her stuff and adjusted her bearing. She waved at Yuliana with big movements of her hand and said with an even bigger smile, “See ya later!” She walked out of the cafe, the bell tinkering behind her as she left. Yuliana simply stood there, trying to comprehend what just happened. Artisan bandits... Powerful Cora... Underground organisation... A leader who might know me... Aren’t these way too many stuff!? If only Evan were here... She thought as she let out a big sigh. “At least I still have Vindici. He must be pretty knowledgeable about such things. I can consult him.” She said as she hung her purse around her shoulder and left the cafe as well. Yuliana walked down the evening street, expecting something. And just as she had expected, A little spider walked across the street on front of her and stopped. It waved at her with one of its legs. “There you are Wooly, it’s nice to see you again,” she said with a smile as she squatted down and patted the spider on the head. Every time she went outside and was on her way to return home, this little bug would just walk across the street and wave at her. Although she was really confused at first, wondering how this’d always happen and just how smart this bug was, she just learned to accept it and not think too much of it. To the point she even went as far as to name it
