Yuliana walked out of the door and saw Blaine and Ms. Leopard standing by the door, awaiting her. “How was it? Did you have a nice chat?” Blaine said in a pitched up voice as she approached closer. Her azure starfish mask glistened underneath the dim lighting of the surroundings. Yuliana could feel the concern in her voice. “Yes, we did. Thank you for worrying,” she replied before turning to Ms. Leopard. “Thanks to you too, Ms. Leopard. Sometimes, you just need that someone to push you on. I’m quite the coward so it helped me. Thanks a lot,” she said with a chuckle. Ms. Leopard laughed. “Hey now! Don’t compliment me so much, you’ll make me embarrassed!” she said as she scratched her blonde hair. Blaine said, “So, since we already ate, how about we look around the Stone Tree now? Ms. Rabbit is still new, so we should show her around.” “Definitely. But what should we show first... I know! Maybe you can visit the greenhouse! First timers are always amazed by that,” Ms. Leopard said as she pointed to the corridor right of Yuliana. “There is an elevator leading to the top around there, do you wanna go?” she asked as she turned to Yuliana with her head tilted. Yuliana giggled and nodded. “That’d be amazing. I’d love to look around.” “Great! Then follow me,” she gestured towards Yuliana and began walking forward with a hum. Yuliana walked behind Ms. Leopard with Blaine by her side. With a small giggle, she whispered to Blaine, “she really reminds me of you a lot, you know? Very lively and chipper, much like you when we first met.” Blaine chuckled. “I can’t deny that. In fact, it’s me who’s a lot like her.” “Oh?” Yuliana tilted her head “What do you mean?” Blaine let out a soft sigh as she began in a solemn tone, “I wasn’t always like this mind you. When I first came to the organisation, I had basically lost everything. My parents, my troupe, everyone I had ever loved, taken from me, gone and killed. I was lost, empty and traumatised. I began to hate everyone and everything around me. Every single second I spent living was another second spent remember what I had just lost. Suffice to say, I was a pretty gloomy and thorny child back then. “But even with all that trauma and all that pain, one thing I wasn’t, was alone. All because this one girl just wouldn’t stop bothering me and would not leave me alone, even when I cursed her to.” Blaine looked up and gazed at the back of the woman in front her, hopping along with a hum as she guided the two of them forward. “Ms. Leopard painted over my gloom with her lively nature, always smiling and dragging me along in her shenanigans. Even when I said I wasn’t interested and spouted some mean words, she still didn’t leave me, always coming back to play just one more time. “I didn’t realise it at first, but it was her company which really saved me. It took some time, but thanks to her and the other Night Maples, I was gradually able to get over my trauma. I began to look up to her and picked up on her personality, finding myself at last.” She stopped her words and just gazed onward, the emotions behind her mask indiscernible. “If you told me what I was the most indebted to, I’d say that it was this organisation, the second home to the little girl who just lost her first. But if you asked me to choose one person I was the most indebted to, then it’d be without a doubt Ms. Leopard, the elder sister who showed me, ‘me’.” Yuliana’s eyes widened behind her mask. She looked forward and also looked at the back of Ms. Leopard. What an amazing woman... Yuliana thought in admiration. “Hmm? What’cha whispering about back there?” Ms. Leopard said in a sweet voice. She turned around with a twirl and looked at them with her hands behind her back. Blaine chuckled. “Ah it’s nothing. Just what sweet would go the best with cold coffee.” “Sweet with cold coffee.... Hmm...” Ms. Leopard thought as she scratched her head. “Normally, coffee is served hot and sweets are more often than not cold, but if the coffee is now
