Blood stained the floor of the Hall of Justice. The messenger's lifeless body lay split in half across the chamber. Silence filled the hall for a few agonizing seconds. Then— "Why the fuck did you kill him, Verma?!" Rakesh shouted, slamming his hands down. A man slowly stepped forward from the shadows of the doorway. Akshat Verma. Another childhood friend of Akshat Gupta. A long, thin sword rested on his shoulder as blood dripped slowly from its edge. "Messengers should behave like messengers," Verma replied coldly. He stepped toward the messenger's severed head. "How dare he threaten us…" CRACK! Verma crushed the head beneath his heavy combat boot. Fluid splattered across the floor. Ishant immediately stepped back in disgust. "Ahh, shit… Verma. You got his blood all over yourself." A wide grin appeared on Verma's face. "Good." Rakesh rubbed his forehead in sheer frustration. "What do we do now, Akshat?" Deepak Gupta slowly stood up from his seat, his voice remaining calm and absolute. "We have officially declared war by killing their messenger." He scanned the room. "Prepare the war protocols. Contact everyone and gather them in the War Room." Verma crossed his arms. "We'll need magicians too. They'll be useful in large-scale combat." Arun looked toward his grandfather. "Gathering everyone will take more than two days. Do you really think that Lord will stay silent for that long, Grandfather?" "He will," Akshat replied immediately, before his father could speak. Arun frowned. "I don't think so—an enemy that aggressive won't just—" Akshat's voice suddenly became immensely heavy, choking the air in the room. "He WILL." The entire room fell dead silent. Even Verma stopped smiling. News Broadcast Emergency sirens echoed throughout cities across Earth. Massive holographic news screens activated across buildings and streets. "This is an emergency global broadcast. We have received reports that Earth's safety is currently in critical condition." Images of the shattered Cosmic Shield appeared across the screens. "Unknown extraterrestrial forces have stationed themselves in Earth's orbit and have declared war during negotiations at the Hall of Justice." Panic spread rapidly among civilians. "Every individual whose combat and energy level is above B5 is required to report to the nearest military support zone immediately." "And for the remaining citizens, assist children, elderly people, and non-combatants during evacuation procedures." Scenes of heavy military movement flashed throughout the broadcast. "The Protectors are currently in discussion with military leaders, magician associations, ability-user organizations, and world defense councils." "For your safety, remain inside your homes and avoid crowded areas." The broadcast suddenly switched off. People stared at each other in raw fear. "They destroyed the Cosmic Shield in one attack…" a man whispered nervously. "We're done…" Another person immediately shouted back, fierce. "Obviously we'll survive! Didn't you hear the announcement?!" "The Protectors are forming an alliance with heroes from all around Earth!" Even then… fear remained deeply visible in everyone's eyes. JERICA's Room Blue holographic screens illuminated the cold, dark chamber. Deepak Gupta stared toward the pulsing gel cylinder. "Any movements from the enemy?" "There are currently no large-scale movements detected," JERICA responded calmly. "I have been attempting to expose their invisible fleet." Multiple frequencies and graphs appeared across the holograms. "The wave frequency will reach approximately one hundred EMP pulses." Rakesh narrowed his eyes. "That'll expose them?" "It will alarm them," JERICA replied. "There is also a possibility of damaging their systems." Rakesh crossed his arms tightly. "It's better to delay the war as much as possible. Our forces still need time to gather on the battlefield." JERICA processed the data. "EMP attack preparation will complete in thirty-three minutes." Deepak slowly looke
