Tom left, with a disappointment in his heart towards his friend who does not have focus to do anything meaningful in life. The following day was a Saturday and Tomiwa boss had promised to provide for the extra effort that worth his time taken on that day. His boss Mr. Godwin Ladoja loves Tom so much that he wanted him to marry his own daughter Mirabel Ladoja a graduate of Pharmacy at the University of Lagos. Unknown to James, he was just coming too take up another file assessment as his daily routine was, has gets to the front of his office somethings tells him to put a call across to Mr. Godwin, he did immediately, Grinn grinn ‘’Hello sir…I am waiting at the door of your office right now’’ ‘’sorry my dear, I’m at home right now can you make it to my house,I will send my driver to pick you up’’ Tom exhaled ‘’Okay sir, I will wait for him’’ ‘’thank you’’ Mr Godwin replied. In few minutes Mr. Godwin driver Rotimi, drove in calling on Toms attention. Tom hurriedly changed his position going towards the car as he got close to the car, he was very excited that he would be visiting his boss what a blank check. Immediately he got closer he opened the door and sit close to the driver, that is when Rotimi shouted ‘’Tomiwa, Tomiwa Adeniji’’ Tom was dazed and quiet for over 60seconds before he finally speaks ‘’Whaat, Rotimi is this you?’’ ‘’Rotimi Samuel, the only student in the history class. Amazing’’ Rotimi started laughed, Rotimi had been a good friend of Tomiwa since Junior secondary school days, Jss1 precisely. Tomiwa can still remember the day Rotimi was left alone in the class after the principal annouced that everybody should leave the class. Something unusual happened that day Mr. Anifowose Gabriel the History teacher had a misunderstanding with the principal, on that day the scenario has led to so many uproar that the teachers are beginning to leave there classrooms to see what was going on in the principal office. Mr. Anifowose has just received a slap directly to his face from the principal, and he wanted to know why he deserves such gravity of punishment. He managed to use his left hand to support his falling face as he dazed back to his ongoing classroom using his other hand to mark the students assignment out of anger. The school principal immediately signaled to the students to carry there books, and leave the classroom, on the other hand Mr. Anifowose gave another instruction that ‘’nobody is leaving until I am done with this marking’’ so, the students were confused and did not know what to do. Mr. Anifowose was still marking Rotimi notebook when the rest of the student hurriedly took to there heels rushing out of the classroom. On that day, Rotimi was the only student left with Mr. Anifowose in the classroom. Which now became a name for Rotimi today in a grand style ‘’Rotimi, the only student in the history class’’ and he had to face the penalty that year, he was ushered to the assembly ground the following day by the principal and some boys were told to lift him up above the ground stretching him up to face the ground and his buttock to the bright shining sun in other to receive a mighty rushing strokes of the principals cane.
