Chapter 8: A Delusional Enchanting Vampire Elanore stared at a mana core in her hands. It was about the size of an apple and had a red hue to it as well. She held it up towards the wyvern. “What kind of creature was this?” “I have no idea. I don’t remember the creatures from their cores.” “[Inspect],” the vampire said, channeling magic into her eyes. https://i.ibb.co/nXfsKQ9/Galimir-Hyaenodon-Mana-Core.png A hyaenodon? I didn’t know those were here, too. It sounds like it would taste gross though. The vampire looked towards the wyvern. “Did you eat this hyaenodon?” “I have no idea what that is? And, I am starting to feel tired, mistress.” Elanore sighed. “Well, you can go to sleep whenever. I am not feeling tired at all yet. I will wake you up if anything important happens.” The vampire watched as the wyvern laid down in her human form on the bare, stony ground. She wanted to ask how it would be comfortable to lay on such things, but then again, Naela was a wyvern. I bet she has grown used to laying on this stuff. As for me...Well, I still have plenty of energy to spare. Elanore hesitantly lifted the hyaenodon core up to her mouth, and she bit into it with her fangs. This one had a taste she didn’t expect at all. It was as if she was eating meat this time. Instead of the previously sweet flavors, this one had something between ground pork and beef flavoring. Nonetheless, she sucked all of it down into her mouth and let the taste seep into her tongue. Once she finished it, she threw it to the side. “I guess I can make an empty pile of these and try to taste some to see which ones would go good together. Though, it is a bit strange. Am I the only one that can taste these?” None of the others had been punctured, and they were all intact. It was clear to Elanore that Naela didn’t eat them. Either that, or she found some way to dispose of them later. More importantly...I want to try mixing some of these together to see if I can make the best flavor possible. The vampire imagined herself recreating the flavor of her favorite energy drinks. What would happen if I killed a white monster like a ghost? Would I be able to make a white monster energy drink? She pulled out the cauldron instead of wondering about the details. The most important part was to start mixing different orb flavors to get the best ones possible. Though, she wanted to retch from imagining that meat flavor mixing with those previous sweet ones. I should have a balanced diet for a balanced vampire. In other words, I will need energy drinks, but I will also need meat flavors for kaborbs. Elanore looked at the inside of her plain stone cauldron. “This thing will also need an upgrade. There is no way I can be using this basic bitch cauldron. It’s only natural that a true witch will need the best cauldron that mana can provide. In order to do that, I will finally be using my enchanting skills.” The vampire looked around left and right. On one side, there was a wyvern who was fast asleep on top of what looked like a dire bear pelt. On the other side, there was the pile of orbs. Elanore had a slight problem on her hand. For enchanting, things needed to have sockets or a place to put runes. I suppose I could put a rune on the side, but that would be very boring, wouldn’t it? She remembered the allosaur in her storage and focused on it, choosing to take its hip bone. She imagined that the flat piece of hip would work better as an insertion into the cauldron. Elanore used her mana to drill a hip shaped hole into the side of her cauldron and placed the bone in there. She sealed it with a popular Earth Sorcery spell— [Cementing]. She lightly attempted to pull it from the frame, using the least amount of strength possible. The result was perfect. The thing wouldn’t budge, and she chose to inspect the cauldron yet again. https://i.ibb.co/CK1N9PP4/Cauldron-1.png Interesting, this one gained a tier from just that. I wonder what the difference is? It’s not like I enchanted it yet. Th
