You’re Out of Control Skeletor sank into his back as Silent Shock activated, stunning him for three seconds. Combo Points (1/5) Lorena reached around him with Skeletor, flipped the blade around in her hand, and stabbed it into his eye as she activated Gouge. Have you lost your mind? Between the stun and the Gouge he didn’t see us. We can go through the window and— Lorena looked left, to the bed and saw her. Wide eyes, a sheet pulled up to her neck, rosy cheeks and messy hair. She had a hand clasped to her mouth. Lorena paused for just a second and raised a finger to her lips. That was a problem for later. She turned and smashed Skeletor into the glass window. She jumped through the hole, activating Stealth and landing in a roll on the hard cobblestone street. You’re out of control. It’s fine. She won’t say anything and he didn’t see anything. What about the window? You don’t think— We need to complete this job. It’s worth the risk. Lorena searched the street as several onlookers crowded around the broken window, all gawking at the irate dwarf yelling naked from the broken window. They were off route and she was turned around. She was expecting to come out right by the portal, but this room brought her out on a street a few blocks from the Mage Quarter garden portal. Lorena turned and saw him walking down the street, sticking to the sidewalk and avoiding the crowd that were all yelling at the dwarf in the window. Collapsing Shadows: 3 seconds remaining Lorena slipped into the shop next to her and dropped Stealth. She was immediately hit with the sickening sweet scent of baked goods that made her stomach churn. She moved toward the center of the shop, away from the window, and watched the target pass by on the street. She continued through the shop, trying to seem casual but busy, definitely not someone who had time for questions. This shop connected to the next few and she thanked a god she didn’t believe in for that, it would give her some much needed cover. The next shop was some kind of crafts store. It was crowded and lacked useful windows, but she would be through it in a matter of seconds. She tried to visualize the street her target was on, there was a side street coming up, and then an intersection. She should have enough time to get through it before the side street entrance came up. Do you like crafts? Maybe we could paint something for our— Don’t do that. You can’t make this better with some throwaway placating comment. Lorena swallowed the sting of Ren’s words and pushed her way to the end of the shop only to be met by a roped off entryway to the third shop. “Sorry miss, we are closed for a private event.” Lorena spun on her heels and moved toward the exit of the second shop. She took a calming breath, forcing it to come out slow and gentle. She stepped onto the street, being mindful to keep a gentle impact of her boots on the cobblestone. There was a large crowd gathered outside and Lorena decided to play it safe and push her way through the crowd rather than go around it and stand out in the middle of the street. The second she got to the other side of the crowd he turned and stared down the street, his sweeping gaze passing right over her. Her heart skipped a beat, the sound of the crowd fading away as time slowed. She watched every detail of his facial expression. A twitch in his lip. A slight raise to his left eyebrow. The darkening of his eyes as he squinted slightly. He spun back around and made a left. She stepped out of the crowd, the thumping of her heart was all she could hear for several beats. She glanced down the street to see what he had been staring at but didn’t see anything. It didn’t seem like he had spotted her, but his pace was noticeably faster. She took the turn and saw the entrance to the garden, the portal was just a few steps inside. She slipped into Stealth and approached it. He’s not here, do you think he went through or is he hiding somewhere? I’m not helping you. With twelve seconds lef
