Chapter 13: Game of Thrones Henrik saw this attack coming a mile away as he simple dodge downward and then push the sword on his hand toward this soldier chest. This soldier does not wear iron and steel armour. Instead, he wears a leather amour. One could even see some arrows stuck on this thick leather armours. Clearly, the arrows did not pierce deep enough. But just because the arrow did not pierce deep enough to kill him did not ema that Henrik sword did not pierce deep Shritt! It is that sound again. The sound of flesh being teared. Blood spurted out and the soldier seems to shout in pain before ethe shout itself become fainter and without waiting, Henrik quickly pull the sword out Henrik did not know whose sword this belong to. But hell, this sword is one hell of a sharp sword. It did not break and it cut through flesh like a hot knife. And then Henrik quickly take a sidestepped and an arrow just miss him Henrik also finds out not only his reflex and strength had improved, his vision also improved. He could see someone trying to snipe him from far away. But just after he manage to dodge the arrow, suddenly out of the corner of his eye, he could see someone is rushing toward him with a mace. And then the moment this person came close, this person did not hesitate to smashing it toward him. Kicking the ground his body jumped backward and then roll along the mud. That soldier then change direction, and Henrik simply took the mud and throws it at that soldier face “Ugh!” As the soldier wipes his face, the last thing he sees is Henrik rushing toward him and then pain fills his body. The sound of the flesh being teared and then the sound of a sword being sheathed out. And then he falls to the ground, and he sees mid and blood and then his eyelids grew heavy and darkness claims him Henrik did not know what the soldier sees and did not know what the soldier felt. But he had died so many times, that he could guess what that soldier must have seen and what his feeling were And they continue running. Henrik is the only one among the dozen people to have a sword this sharp. And he is the only one among this group of peasants that even have some ability to fight like this. Out of the twelve people, give and take, Henrik could see a few of them is using bow. Yet they are not really sharpshooters and not really a master archer. Henrik himself did not know the discipline of being an archer and he did not know what makes an archer good or not. Or whether there is a technique to archery. It is not like he lives in an era where archery is a hot sought skill But he does know that an expert archer would surely hit their target. Or at least almost hit their target. From what he sees, these people could be made to create a rain arrow in a formation but one on one duel with arrows? Henrik would sooner trust his life to a squirrel; than entrusting his life to these people The people around him, none of them sems proficient in their arms. The only one that seems reliable is this older man, Miklos. And while Henrik is thinking like this, Miklos is thinking the same thing. The people that follow him are all old people or young people. The old people are too old, and the young people are too young. Out of all the old people, it does not mean all of them are incompetent. It is just that many of them have survived a gruelling battle. Their stamina is not up to par and some of them even have injuries, and they would have trouble holding their own Henrik could not see this. He thought that the archers did not have a good aim and could not use their weapon. But Miklos could see it with one glance. It is not that these veterans could not attack and could not aim properly. It is just that there is a limit to the human body. Pulling the bowstring and releasing it also takes energy. And before they all met, judging by their appearance, most of them had just survived a gruelling battle. Adding all of this, it is easy to see that most of these old people alread
