"You are done already?" Luis asked in surprise, staring at his companion. It had barely been five minutes since the World Tree had extended its countless tiny roots to latch onto the dying Rampage Bull. In such a short time, the sapling had already started retracting every single thread-like root, pulling them back into its body completely. It didn't even spare a glance at Luis. Instead, it hurriedly dragged itself over toward the Bull's massive head, specifically positioning itself right over the skull. It pressed its root-feet firmly against the bone and began absorbing again with renewed focus. "Wait a minute, are you sucking its brain out? Are you actually some kind of zombie tree or man-eating plant?!" Luis exclaimed, his eyes nearly popping out of his head. The image of the cute little sapling hunched over a dead monster's head gave him all sorts of weird ideas. While continuing its work, the World Tree quickly shook its branches left and right violently, as if frantically saying (No! No! Don't think such disgusting things!) "Hmm- oh right!" Luis suddenly slapped his forehead, realization dawning on him. He remembered all the novels and stories he used to read back on Earth. In those worlds, monsters weren't just regular animals, they were magical beasts. And when you killed them, there was always a special rewards usually a Magic Crystal or Beast Core formed deep inside their bodies, containing all their essence, energy, and power. "Is it the Magic Crystal?! You are after the crystal inside its skull, aren't you?!" Luis asked excitedly, lowering his voice. The World Tree immediately stopped shaking its branches and nodded vigorously up and down. Bingo! You finally got it! --- Ten more minutes passed. Under Luis's watchful eyes, the massive Rampage Bull, which had been effectively parasitized and drained dry by a small plant, finally let out its last breath. Its chest stopped rising completely. The red glow in its eyes faded into dull glassiness. It was now truly, completely dead. DING! A sharp, clear system notification sounded directly inside Luis's mind, loud and distinct. From the rarest Diamond chest down to the common Wooden ones, it was a mountain of loot. "A massive haul! An absol
