Night fell completely. The world was plunged into deep darkness. The only source of light illuminating the land was the bright round moon hanging high in the sky, casting a faint, cold silver glow over the boundless forest. Inside the small, dilapidated wooden hut, Ellyza was trembling uncontrollably, pulling the thin rough blanket tightly up to her neck, shrinking her body into a small ball. She had always been afraid of the dark. Back on Earth, she was accustomed to dazzling electric lights everywhere, even during the night. Even when she slept, she would absolutely never turn off the bedside lamp, she simply couldn't rest if the room was pitch black. But now? It was dark. Extremely dark. The darkness here was thick and heavy, as if it had substance, pressing down on her from all directions. She tried desperately to close her eyes and force herself to sleep, but her ears were sharper than ever. From the distance, beyond the boundaries of her territory, terrifying roars, angry howls, and the piercing screams of unknown creatures echoed continuously, traveling through the air and drilling straight into her ears. Roar... Hooo... Screech... Her heart raced wildly with every sound she heard. Although she had only encountered small animals like that rabbit during the day and hadn't seen any truly terrifying monsters with her own eyes yet, her imagination was running completely wild. She had watched countless horror movies, anime, and games before. All those grotesque, ferocious, bloody-looking monsters she had seen on screens were now vividly appearing in her mind, as if they were right outside the door, drooling and staring at her. What if that protective barrier surrounding the territory isn't actually as safe as I think? she thought anxiously. Who knows if some powerful monster can break through easily? If I fall asleep, what if something suddenly crashes in and drags me out of this bed? The more she thought, the more frightened she became. Suddenly, a thought struck her like lightning, making her hair stand on end all over her body. Wait a minute! What if there are ghosts and spirits in this world too? Those things definitely don't have physical bodies! They can pass through walls, pass through anything! Are they floating in the dark room right now? Are they staring at me?! "AHH! No! Don't think about it! Don't think!" She couldn't lie down anymore. Her fear surged to the peak, and she abruptly sat up on the bed. She didn't even bother putting on slippers! She jumped down and rushed towards the wooden door barefoot. Squeak~ She pulled the door open a small crack and peeked out nervously. Outside, it was still shrouded in deep darkness, with only the cold moonlight providing a little visibility. Shadows of trees swayed eerily in the wind, looking like countless twisted monsters dancing. "Popo? Popo, are you there?" she called out softly, her voice trembling slightly. HMMM! A low, deep, familiar sound came from right beside the door. Ellyza breathed a huge sigh of relief. She looked over and saw her loyal companion. The Nature Golem was sitting quietly on the ground right outside her hut, guarding her just like he had promised. His two eyes were shining with a steady, warm green light, and the emerald orb embedded in the center of his chest glowed rhythmically, like a gentle lantern in the dark night. Popo turned his heavy head, looked at his master, and let out another reassuring hum, indicating that he was here and everything was safe. "Good! That's good!" Seeing those two bright green lights and that solid, bulky stone body, Ellyza felt the overwhelming fear in her heart instantly reduced by half. As long as Popo was there, she felt like nothing bad could happen. She quietly closed the door again, returned to the creaking wooden bed, and lay down. Listening to the faint, steady sound, or rather, the rhythmic vibration sound coming from outside, her nervousness gradually calmed down. Her eyelids became heavier and heavier, and
