After everything that had happened, we decided to have dinner. Surprisingly, it was Wu Zetian who was cooking. On the outside, she looked like a noble and cold lady who would scold anyone for daring to give such a chore to her. Yet she did not seem to mind at all and started making stew from meat and vegetables found in the forest. None of us needed food. This world was still a game. But they did not seem to mind, and neither did I. I enjoyed the food I had eaten in the tavern, and Gabrielles food was also delicious so unless Wu Zetian put poison inside, I would love to try her cooking. Maybe I could handle even a little poison if it came from someone as beautiful as her. No. What kind of thought was that? "Mir, are you done questioning Hya— I mean Baekho? Do you want to join us? We are playing Ludo. Gabrielle made it for us." Seeing the wishful gaze of Baekho, who was genuinely tired after being questioned by me for two hours, I decided to let him be. I politely refused Luke, who was clearly just trying to save Baekho from my relentless assault of questions. Baekho was great study material, since he had direct contact with his ancestor. I did not know this before, but apparently Alexios and the others often received messages from the AI that acted as spiritual ancestors overlooking their descendants. These messages were not frequent, appeared quite rarely, and the hints they provided were minimal. I was surprised, since my ancestor had never tried to communicate with me in any way as far as I could remember. The second thing I needed to be mindful of when searching for matches for the ancestors of the rest of the group was including mythical characters as well. The reliability of this game's DNA test dropped in my mind after Baekho's ancestor was revealed. A mythical tiger from a famous eastern myth clearly could not be someone's ancestor. The fact that the AI assigned a match to Baekho meant the system was unreliable. Even ignoring the difference in species itself, how would the AI that designed this game expect anyone to guess their ancestor was basically a god from eastern mythology? Thus, even my own ancestor, or Lukes whom I had narrowed down to a few options, suddenly jumped back to a few hundred. This became an even bigger mystery than before. But then again, I had started enjoying this game much more since joining this party. All of them were precious study objects for me. "Dinner is ready! Put away that game. Mir, you too. Stop daydreaming and join us." Gabrielle, who was helping Wu Zetian, shouted at us, so I dropped everything from my mind and went to eat. I was excited. How would the cooking of someone like Wu Zetian taste? Could bad food even be replicated in this game? I sat on a makeshift bench made from a log and carefully took the wooden bowl Wu Zetian handed me. "It's so delicious. Wu, is your real-life profession perhaps cooking?" "Mhm. It's tasty." "Wu, with cooking like this, you are ready to be a bride." Compliments kept pouring in, but Wu Zetian did not reply and continued eating her own portion. I decided to give it a try as well. The sweet taste of vegetables and wonderful meat that almost melted on my tongue made my taste buds dance. If nothing else, this game was a wonderful culinary experience. As expected from a noble, Wu Zetian's cooking was nothing short of wonderful. I decided to push aside my embarrassment and ask for seconds, which earned me a smug glare from Wu Zetian that almost seemed to taunt me. Did it taste so good that you want a second serving? But I wonder if we have enough now? Of course, she did not say anything like that openly, and I got to fill my stomach along with Alexios and the other boys who had the same idea as me. After eating, we lay under the stars, not moving, simply existing. Our bellies were full, and our hearts were filled by the peaceful atmosphere. "Mir, ever since I saw you for the first time, I wanted to ask you. Is your beautiful appearance caused by a female a
