Chapter 73: The First Levels Nathan was the first to speak up, but I didn’t really expect much less from him. We were always partners in crime, but he was really more the angel of my moral conundrum compass. I do tend to take things too far, and who knows, I might not have revived the kids, but probably not. I caught a glimpse of a few of them as I left the estate with their parents and they all looked happy. “I am with you until you conquer the world,” Nathan said with a boyish grin, but I raised an eyebrow. “Does that mean we have to negotiate the terms when I start working on taking the galaxy? Then the universe?” I asked with a smile, but my eyes were serious, and he knew it. “You heard your dad. He isn’t even in this world. His plane has to be a planet, and someday, we are going to go get him. Same with mine, if we can find them. I find it a bit annoying that they haven’t tried to talk to me, but that isn’t important.” I turned to look at Serhii. “And you?” “With you. I have seen you fight against the very system that controls the world. If I am going to pick sides, it will be with someone like me, not another adult trying to force me into something. You gave me a choice, and I will take it, My Lord” said the Russian boy who looked more like a man than any of us, and I nodded. “While I knew Nathan would join me, I am glad to have you, Serhii,” I said, and looked to Roland, ignoring Lee for now. I was pretty sure I knew what he would do, but I wouldn’t force anyone. “You?” Roland looked around, but shook his head, and then bowed slightly to me. “I will have to talk to Sarah, but I think we will stay in the light. You don't seem like a bad person, but…” I put up a hand. “No worries. I get it. This is pretty messed up, and I know who Sarah is. I just recommend you head to a beast kingdom outside of this one that hates this place. The more secluded, the better, but stay away from Alexander regardless. I have no doubt that he will be salty and super vindictive. He will use you like pawns to get to me at best. Worst? He tortures you and lets me know to get to me, or shows me. I only met him once, but if you think what I did is bad, he is just bad, period.” Roland gave me a smile and a small nod. “Noted.” “And that leaves you, but I am going to go off on a limb and say you are leaving?” I asked as I turned to Lee. “Most likely. While you all enjoy your lives, my father works very close to Mr Clarence. I will stay for this training, but after I will seek him out,” Lee said defiantly, staring into my eyes. “So? Still going to let me go? I will likely have to kill you in the future, and no amount of this walking flesh will be able to stop someone like me with high level skills. Can you afford to let me go?” I gave him a long look, but then shrugged. “Yeah.” We both stared at each other for a long hard moment, but then Lee shrugged back. “Suit yourself, but I don’t want to stay here any longer than I have to, so let’s get this thing going. How are you going to power level up, My Lord?” This made me smile as on que, three of my Elite Archer walked out with a few cages of what seemed to be perfectly normal white rabbits. They were not normal, and I was a sucker for tropes. Nothing like kicking off your journey into hunting the not so harmless wildlife of a world by killing something cute that could also kill you. Each of the guys looked at me with varying emotions, but they seemed to share the fact that none of them were impressed with my humor. That was fine. These little buggers were level 6, and more than even all four could take at once because they were a speed focused mob. At the same level, it would barely do any damage, but for these four, this was a true monster. “Alright, I see that look on all your faces, and I don’t care. Call me cruel, or evil, but these little monsters are the weakest things I could find. They are level 6 Tracer Rabbits, and compared to each of you, they are almost three times as fast,” I explained, and
