Chapter 15: Big Problems Real World | James Williams Bedroom | VVVVT! VVVVT! James groaned as he slowly awoke to the buzzing sound of his phone on the nightstand. He grabbed the device, and growled when his eyes adjusted enough to see the time and then caller. He hadn't expected any issue with starting the world engine, but everything about this game was new territory for them. "Yes? What is wrong?" James asked as soon as he answered the phone, but the uneasy female voice of Sandra Bowman put him on edge, and her words didn't help. "So, ummm, we have a really big problem here, James," The voice replied, and he pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes. "What could be considered a big problem? We have already restarted the world engine numerous times, and I even tested it out the last time it was up and running," James snapped back, but the woman on the other end was not fazed. "Well, when the engine finished, there was a player already inside the game. You were right, the code was a mess, but he is currently playing in the forest, and seems to be trying to build a house," Sandra replied, and James' eyes went wide. "WHAT!" he snapped, but that wasn't the worst of it. "Yeah, about that. So you remember how you spent a year in the game? Well, somehow Allen's starting location ended up in the Hell Glades. On the positive, the place hasn't loaded in yet, and will take longer since there is a player in the area, but there is one more thing," Sandra explained, but James was already getting dressed and was sending for his driver to have the car ready. "Don't say anything else over the phone. None of the workers are to leave the room!" James snapped and hung up the phone before storming out of his room and making another call to Alexander Clarence. Due to the sounds, Nathan tiredly poked his head out of the door. "What's going on, dad?" The phone was still ringing, so James turned to his son. "Allen is in the game. Get dressed, you are coming with me. --- Ciara was awoken with a cold feeling as she heard her father from her parents bedroom next to her own. "HE DID WHAT?!" Alexander Clarence roared, making her shiver as she rushed out of her bed to her parents bedroom. When she got there and knocked, a moment passed before her father came out with an angry look that softened when he saw her. "What is going on?" Ciara asked, and her father let out a deep breath. "That brat of yours got himself into the game already," He growled, and his daughter's face lit up, but she shook his head. "I know what you are thinking, but him getting a head start is not good. Allen entered the game as world data, and we have no idea just what that means completely. What we do know is there are absolutely no restrictions on him, or the way that the world interacts with him. Any pain is just as real as it would be here, and we don't know what will happen if he doesn't survive the year and three months now," her father explained, but Ciara still looked hopeful. "Allen isn't a normal gamer, dad. Every game he plays he tries every possible way to do things, so if anyone can survive, it will be him," She said confidently, but her father only sighed. "While I do agree with you about his skill and tenacity, he was spawned in one of the most dangerous parts of the world, and it is thousands of miles from the human capital where you will all be starting from. The Hell Glades are an area that surrounds an active volcano that has an eternal hurricane that covers the surrounding area. That and the place is full of high level steam and storm type mobs and a World Raid Boss, according to James," her father said, and the color drained from her face, and her father put his hand on her shoulder. "Look, it's not all bad, and if the boy is as good as you think, then he might pull it off. Get yourself a change of clothes, we are leaving in 10 minutes for the center. We can't put you in, but we can at least monitor his progress," Alexander explained, but winced as Ciara
