Chapter 17: Resource Rain The Real World | Mage Gaming Headquarters Ciara and Nathan stared at the screen, not sure how to take the image in front of them. Allen was on the ground, but he was surrounded by his bone wolves who looked like they were chewing on his legs while dragging a clearing he had just finished, but he was clearly not in a good state. "Is he okay?" Ciara asked, but she wasn't that worried. Her expression was a confused smirk that showed her disbelief. "No, but that isn't anything new," Nathan sighed as a smile grew on his face. "He is just being a dork." "What?" She asked, but it was Nathan's father James that spoke up, making her jump. She had forgotten her father and Mr. Williams since everyone was so focused on watching Allen. "He is bored," James laughed, but then sighed. "But he is as persistent as ever. The fool doesn't even know what is going on, but he is clearly preparing to build something rather big. I almost feel bad for his NPC summons." Nathan snorted, but Ciara didn't seem to understand. "I think what my dad is implying is that Allen is about to make an undead sweat shop to further his pet project. You know, killer robots?" Nathan teased, but his words brought a light of understanding. "Wait, didn't anyone tell him that this is a fantasy game?" Ciara asked after a moment, and both Nathan and James laughed, but her father said nothing, and watched intently. "Yeah, but that is why I gave him the necromancer class. While I have no idea how he will do it, I don't think there is anyone more determined to make his dreams come true," James replied with a wide smile, but then his eyes drifted over the screen and Ciara and Nathan saw it too. The image in the corner showed a countdown timer, and as they watched it hit zero, and the feed of Allen being dragged around by his wolf filled the main screen. --- Day 29 | Allen's View | I was bored to tears, and had hit some many walls that I was reduced to crude forms of entertainment while doing anything I thought might be useful going forward. Like massive crater-like walls that had almost half a mile around my home that was being built because of the surplus of workers I gained two days ago. 40 human skeletons! Like, wow! It was wild just watching them all pile out of the grave in a matter of 15 seconds. It was the most excitement I had seen in days, but it didn't change the fact that the lack of direction was driving me insane. So, while waiting for the next event, and for the world to finish booting up, I did what I did best. I worked on my own ideas, but after a while, I had hit a point where all paths were blocked. My ideas were fine, but it was like I was playing a real time strategy while waiting for your town hall to upgrade after doing everything else. Everything felt like it could work and I was onto something, but nothing happened. Regardless, I got Chip and Crack to bite my arms and fly with me each day to get a lay over the very slowly changing land. Yeah, my summons couldn't hurt me, but in some very unrealistic ways. As a few examples, attacks don't hurt me, but neither does Bones accidently throwing a balled up Crack at me, then missing it, and getting knocked off my feet, still no damage. Even weirder, I got Bones to stuff me into one of the wolf's rib cages and then had him punt us into the now 60 foot deep mine pit that had still not yielded a single thing but more whining from yours truly. Anyways, again, no damage, but I was reminded why I never went to fairs. The rest of the time I had got so bored that I would pretend to be a scared villager, and my monsters chased me around to keep me active. Now, I was starting to feel like I was doomed for endless days of boredom as I let my wolves use me as a chew toy and drag me around the clearing the human skeletons had just finished clearing. This continued until I felt something strange inside of me, and I ordered my wolf to stop. I sat up and frowned as the ground started to stir and shift. T
