Bum A white-haired man leapt back from the curtain of smoke left by the explosion. Several wounds marked his arms; scratches decorated the chest armor. "Goblins are such a pain in the ass!" Xu complained. Just over a dozen minutes had passed since Jihan and Akemi left to complete the plan. The moment the goblins sensed something was wrong, groups of them began pouring out of the tunnels. "The worst is still coming. He's not stupid; he sent the minions to test and wear the enemy down." As he thought, Xu swung his axe again and, like a hot knife through butter, another goblin didn't even get the chance to scream before the end. "More and more of these pests keep coming. I didn't think there'd be this many... I can't imagine the size of the full army if these are just the ones left behind." Instinctively, Wang tilted his head to the left; at the same moment, an arrow passed through where he had been. "Arrows?" Looking a little farther ahead, he noticed that at the cave entrance, some goblins were holding bows and cackling like hyenas. "What's going on here? A goblin king, a Shaman, an organized army, and now archers? How did these monsters learn any of this?" In the distance, Xu noticed four columns of smoke rising into the sky. "They finally pulled it off... alright, I can't fail now!" More goblins poured from the cave by the minute. The albino's blood boiled; the blood leaking from his wounds was instantly evaporated by the heat of his skin, his red eyes blazed, and the temperature exploded again. A few minutes later, as if by agreement, Li and Akemi arrived at the same time at the site of the confrontation. "What... happened...?!" Jihan asked, incredulous. Before him, dozens of goblin bodies were piling up on the ground, with more added every minute. In the middle of the chaos, a bloodied man was screaming as he cleaved another head; the veins bulging from his forehead looked close to bursting, his body covered in wounds that burned in real time. As if sensing the presence of the two, Xu Wang shouted: "GET READY! HE'S COMING!" Jihan and Akemi immediately turned toward the cave. An intensely dark and powerful energy was leaking from the darkness, drawing closer. A massive hand gripped the side of the den and, with a size difference that seemed impossible, the enormous monster broke apart the opening that limited its exit, collapsing the entrance. Using its arm as support, the Goblin King hauled its body out. Unlike the small soldiers, the beast stood nearly three meters tall. An iron breastplate covered the upper body; a long sword was gripped in its massive hands and a crown of thorns sat on its head. Its yellow eyes were shot through with black veins; dark smoke seeped from the edges of the eyeballs and burn marks stood out across the body alongside hundreds of scars. "UORRRRRRRRRRR!" The Goblin King roared. All three had the same thought. "Something is wrong." "Wrong or not, the plan holds! Attention!" Xu Wang leapt forward, both incandescent axes driving down toward the monster's head. The beast smiled and swept its great blade upward, deflecting the strikes. The albino landed and immediately pulled back, creating distance. "Elf! Cover me!" he shouted. Akemi drew her staff, which extended into the bow Jihan already knew well. The moment she was ready, she began firing without pause. With the entrance collapsed, the number of goblins appearing dropped sharply, and she could concentrate the barrage on the main target. The Goblin King roared and, swinging the sword sideways like a fan, cut through the air. The shockwave deflected most of the arrows and drastically reduced the impact of the few that landed. Tsk "Even that level of artillery is useless?!" Xu cursed. "Jihan! It's just you and me on this one! Akemi, clear the smaller ones; don't let them interfere." he ordered. Both nodded and fell into formation as if it were natural. "Alright!" Jihan cracked both knuckles. "I've been wanting to test how far I've come." The momen
