One thing was certain. He could not afford to hold anything back now. Felix Pagonis swung his hand as his psionic power formed a blade of pink, slicing off an incoming sharpened arm. Power flared in his eyes. The blade multiplied itself by the millions in an instant, shredding the monster like a piece of waste paper. More Unendings surrounded him. He raised his hand. Their black arms froze in their tracks. He clenched his fist. The arms snapped downwards at an awkward angle. He punched the ground. The monsters exploded into a million fragments, atomised by his psychokinetic blow. “Help! Somebody, anybody!” A man was screaming somewhere near him. “No, please! Oh gods, I don’t want to die! ” Felix turned his head to the source of the voice; another group of Unendings was slowly closing in on someone. His lips curved into a snarl. Fucking demons. The psychic rushed forward and swept a glowing hand at them. Chunks of Earth ripped themselves from the ground, gouged out by the sheer power of the telekinetic attack. The devastating force rippled through their bodies and disintegrated the monsters instantly. “You’re alright. You’re alright now.” Felix knelt and supported the cowering man. “Go back where it’s safe.” “L— Lord… Lord Pagonis?! ” The man’s eyes were wild with fear, but they squeezed shut immediately. “Argh, I can’t! My… My leg…” Felix glanced at the man’s bloodied leg. It was twisted at an odd angle, and he could sense the unnatural gap between the two broken parts of his bones. “This might sting a little.” Felix focused his mind on the victim’s fracture, bio-kinetically mending the bones. He could feel the heavy fists pounding on his force field, but he didn’t care as long as the man did not notice the monsters as well. He could not afford the man to flinch and accidentally twist his leg out of place again before he was finished. Thankfully, Felix finished his psychokinetic surgery before the victim opened his eyes. Pink retreated from his irises as he supported the man up. “How’s your leg?” he asked. “Better… Much better. I can walk now.” The man broke into an incredulous, but relieved smile. “Thank you, Your Majesty. But why did you— Uwah! There’re so many of them!” Felix looked up at where he was pointing. The man was right. He had barely felt it due to the strength of his force field, but the writhing mass of black was now completely covering his psychic shield like an intrusion of squirming cockroaches. He focused power into the force field. If he simply put his shield down, the Unending would be on them before he could protect the man. But even if he blasted them away first, there’s no telling whether they’d get back up slowly enough for him to bring this man to safety. Felix’s aura glowed fiercely. It was a huge risk, but it was better than cowering behind the force field forever. “ Get out of my house! ” A literal ground-shattering force pounded on his force field from above before he could make a move. Felix winced as his shield shattered under the power of whatever hit it. He blinked a few times as light flooded back into his senses. The gang of monsters were gone, leaving behind pieces of blackened flesh littered all around the crater in the ground. The man left Felix’s side, making a mad dash back to safety before more Unendings showed up. Another roar caught Felix’s attention. He turned around just in time to see a green cyborg shatter three Unendings with a single punch. The remnant shockwave struck the monsters behind, and they exploded into huge black chunks. Felix raised a hand, shredding the remaining pieces into dust before they could resurrect themselves. “ You?! ” Titus Angelo marched up towards the psychic, shaking a finger at him in disbelief. “What’re you doing here? How did you get out of the gaol?” Footsteps lumbered towards them. The two of them swung around before either could respond. More Unendings had shown up, although their numbers seemed to be diminishing. Felix’s eyes flitted to the port
