Chapter 13 Black-Winged Executioner Rina’s fist exploded once again with tremendous power. Then she charged toward him once more. Then a familiar whisper echoed through Rina’s mind. “What a pathetic sight.” Rina’s expression twitched slightly in irritation while she continued dodging the floating blades. “You are so fixated on forming and growing your army, alliances, and fighting the angels that you have been ignoring me and neglecting your training. You need to stop and focus on mastering your power before you push the angels any further. What is the point of revenge if, by the time you reach the goddess, you are too weak to defeat her?” One of the blades suddenly shot toward her head. Rina quickly tilted her head to the side as the sword barely missed her face, slicing through the air beside her. “Your power can do far more than simply create destructive demonic flames,” the voice continued. “But what should I expect from someone who lived a quiet life for hundreds of years without ever truly fighting until you gained my power?” Rina gritted her teeth. “So let us turn this battle into a lesson.” Another sword lunged toward her chest. Rina twisted her body out of the way, then grabbed the sword as her demonic flames melted it, causing molten metal to pour to the ground as it flowed down between her fingers. “Instead of only focusing that demonic power into your fists, try channeling it through the muscles of your entire body.” “Doing so will increase your physical strength immensely. Combining that enhancement with your demonic flames will increase your destructive power tremendously.” “All right, I understand,” Rina snapped back internally. As she jumped back, avoiding a slash sent toward her stomach, she was unable to avoid the sword that slashed across her back. Blood sprayed as a wound opened across her back before slowly starting to regenerate once more. “But could you maybe explain all this when I am not being attacked by a bunch of swords? You are really distracting right now.” Rina then dodged to the side of a lunging blade as she charged up her fist and punched the flat side of the sword. The impact shattered the blade apart instantly. Fragments of glowing metal scattered across the battlefield as the destroyed sword tumbled away into scraps along the ground. Rina then shouted toward the hero. “Seems like you are running out. You only have seven more blades. What will you do then, hero?” The hero laughed. “You know, my power is not linked only to these swords.” Zarek slowly raised one hand upward. The swords scattered across the battlefield suddenly began to shake as several weapons lying around the battlefield shook free from the corpses’ grasps. Broken weapons stained with blood rose into the air one after another before flying toward Zarek. Rina’s eyes widened slightly. Within moments, he was back to having twelve blades once again hovering around him. “Damn… this is not looking good.” Zarek smirked. “Well, this is no longer fun anymore, so I think I will just end it.” Ten of the twelve blades slowly turned toward Rina. The tips of the swords all pointed directly at her. Rina immediately understood what he was planning. He was going to overwhelm her with a massive barrage of attacks all at once. If even one strike created a large enough opening, he would immediately go for a fatal blow against her regenerating body. Rina then looked down toward the right, where a giant fallen tree was lying across the battlefield. She decided to listen to the whisper’s words. Instead of focusing the demonic power into her fists, Rina began circulating it throughout the muscles of her entire body. Her muscles slightly bulged as overwhelming power surged through her body. A grin slowly spread across her face. “So this is what you meant…” Rina suddenly thrust her clawed hands deep into the massive fallen tree. Her fingers dug through the bark and buried themselves into the wood inside. Then, with a burst of newfound strength, she ch
