Chapter 38: Nowhere left to run Rachel quickly stepped back, as there was no longer any point in retrieving her weapon. The new hero, along with a group of angel knights and one other angel who was radiating hostility directly toward Rachel, closed in on her. There's no way I can fight this. My only option is to run , Rachel thought. She then turned and started to run away, heading back toward the castle where she could hide and fight this large group of angels within the confined corridors. But after she took a few steps, she heard the hero in the back call out a spell. "Space Lock." As Rachel ran away, something felt off. No matter how much she ran, she wasn't moving from the place she was standing. Garek gave a slight smirk as he stood nearby, bleeding heavily and wounded from what Rachel had done to him. As he spoke, "Well, you almost had me, but there's no escape for you now. Just give up. Once she has you in her grasp, there's no getting away." Rachel turned around to see the female hero standing there, holding out her hand as she continued to emanate magic from it, keeping Rachel locked in place. The angel beside her continued to approach. His hate-filled eyes never left Rachel as he walked forward with one hand covering his burned face. As the angel approached, he stopped a short distance away from Rachel and examined her. Then he spoke. "So, you're the evil little wretch that was born from Logan and Rina." "Who are..." Rachel cautiously said before cutting herself off as she noticed the missing wing. A grin spread across her face. "Ah, never mind. You must be Thamiel. The others talked much about you... the arrogant fanatic worshiper of that pathetic being you call a goddess. But I guess it makes sense, as you two are so much alike." Then Thamiel screamed as his fanatic eyes, full of hatred, locked onto Rachel. "Silence, heretic! Do not speak about our goddess with your foul mouth! But it doesn't matter anyway, because soon I'll be delivering your charred corpse to the goddess, along with that bitch Elyndra, who I enjoyed torturing before I ended her life. You should have seen her bent and broken body. It was a wonderful sight." The moment Rachel heard that, she went into a rage and charged forward, trying to throw a punch at Thamiel. But the moment she took a step forward, her body was pulled right back to the location she had been standing before. She gritted her teeth, staring at him in anger as black and red cursed blood started seeping from the armor. Thamiel smiled at her. "Oh, look at the temper on this one. You act like an uncivilized beast. But don't you worry, you'll meet Elyndra soon enough... after I deal with you." Then a burst of power erupted from Rachel as more and more of the black and red cursed blood spewed from her armor, trying to break the space around her. Thamiel then turned his head toward Kino and said, "Can you calm her down? If she unleashes whatever she's building up, it may destroy that space of yours." Then a knight approached Thamiel's side and spoke. "Herald, we've pretty much wiped out all the demon guards, with only a few pockets of resistance and fleeing demons around the castle remaining. Shall we finish them off?" Thamiel turned to him. "No. We don't have time for this. Recall all the angels. Send one to gather Elyndra's corpse from the chasm, and let's get out of here quickly and evacuate before that bitch, Rina, arrives with her army." The angel then turned as he blew a horn, alerting all the angels in the area. They stopped their attacks and pursuits on the demon guards and maids and headed for their gathering point. Rachel, whose eyes burned with killing intent, was trapped within the sealed space, flooding it with an immense amount of blood and cursed power as she tried to break free. But then, all of a sudden, something happened. With a single tweak Kino made to her Space Lock spell, all the oxygen inside the space vanished. Rachel collapsed to her knees, trying to gasp for
