Is she scared of me? Is my connection to the mad choir girl so bad that people will automatically assume the worst? I hope not, I liked Lilly, hopefully we can be friends later. With a clunk and a thud Renée laid back down on the soft grass. What do I do now? Can I trust the Infinite Choir? It seems she is the only one who will even talk to me if they find out who I am and I assume I cannot just leave by myself. Renées contemplation was abruptly paused as her ears perked up at a new sound, a sign that a new person was approaching her. She didn’t look round at the newcomer, her new programmed instincts telling her to pretend to not have noticed but to prepare for a fight. Renée waited as the footsteps got closer. She found is strange how she did not hear Lilly approaching, in the end she put it down to her previous deep thinking and confusion at the situation she found herself in. As the unknown person approached Renée had a rising sense of fear within her, her systems screaming at her with warnings that she couldn’t win a fight if one came. Once the stranger was close enough Renée, perhaps quick foolishly pounced. Her body sprang forth from where it lay motors whirred and claws cut through the air with a grace and precision Renée surprised herself with. With the force of a runaway train her claws bore down on the threat, they gleaned with sharpness in the sun, only to find them stop against the immovable object the threat turned out to be. Why isn’t it working? I cant die again here! Renées eyes widened in her mind fear clouded judgement as she slashed again and again. Each strike glanced harmlessly off the deity that stood before her. “Renée, I’m sorry, I didn’t know I hurt you this much. Shall I leave you alone?” Renée paused at the voice she seemed to recognise. She withdrew from her attack, leaving tens of metres between them as she recovered from her blind fear and panic. “You’re the Infinite Choir?” “Uhm, yes, my dear Renée. Do you not recognise me?” Renée stared at the choir before her, she is so different now. Shyer and less insane than before. She sounds like she does feel guilty about before as well. “Ah, sorry, it’s just you look so different to when I last saw you. Your, well less intimidating that before, besides the aura of dread that made me attack you.” The choir blushed slightly and looked at the floor “I apologise for that, its hard for me to control my aura often, and I didn’t think you would be affected by it. I do get told often that I appear differently often.” Renée sighed “Well. Why are you here? Want to drag me back for some experiments or something?” The choir tapped her index fingers together “Well, I let my passion and uh interest in you to overcome myself. I apologise for that. Lilly told me you are here. She ran to me and shouted at me, told me about you… and well here we are.” Renée sighed internally and looked away, what do I do now? One moment she is all crazy and making a bad first impression to now. All cute, shy and embarrassed. What to do? “You expect me to just forgive you? Forget what happened? That terrible first impression you gave?” Renée asked in a tone that was harsher than she intended, controlling a robotic voice was not something she was used to yet. “I, I don’t, as much as I want you to, I can’t ask for that. Just that you give me a second chance?” the choir put on the cutest and most innocent voice she could with the most innocent expression, neither of which she was achieving terribly well. “I’ll consider it. For now, I need some time alone.” The Infinite Choir decided leaving quietly was the best idea. She slid into the shadows and vanished. ----- “Stupid, stupid, stupid!” The Infinite Choir berated themselves as they repeatedly threw their head against a brick wall. “We finally made our perfect creation! And she hates us! What have we done? We needs her, our precious. She is ours, our own precious. No one else can have her, but how do we get her to like us?” The Choir began p
