Luke got off the carriage and saw that there was a long queue of carriages that were waiting for the inspection to end. Luke didn't know what to do, he didn't know where to go or how to solve the current situation but he didn't panic. He calmly assessed his surroundings and realised that no one was secretly watching them and neither were there people planning on attacking the carriages. Just as he was about to unfocus his superior sense of hearing, something or rather someone caught his attention. “Roberta, come out, I've already come up with a plan to escape from the city.” Luke whispered and Roberta also got off the carriage, Luke didn't immediately leave but approached the coachman and threw a gold coin at him. The coachman quickly caught the gold coin and didn't dare to publicly authenticate it. “Boy, this is not the price we agreed on so what gives?” the old coachman asked. “I know but it's also compensation for what you might face in the future. Remember, do not hide our information if someone asks for it, don't die for complete strangers.” said Luke before pulling Roberta away and they disappeared into the carriage crowded streets. Luke and Roberta ran past around twenty carriages before lowering their pace. Their target rather was a fat man wearing gold rings with different coloured jewels on each finger. His suit looked tailored and he had an air of someone of class and wealth, lastly, his horseshoe moustache was well kept. The fat man had an entire convoy of wagons filled to the brim with goods that needed to be transported and he had more than fifty slaves taking care of the goods. Luke approached the man with Roberta and politely greeted him. “Greetings my good sir, may I have a word with you? I promise it will be worth your while.” said Luke as he took out a bank note and secretly passed it to the man. Seeing the type of bank note it was, the chubby merchant was first surprised before smiling from ear to ear. “Hahaha, of course! Why don't we talk inside my carriage, it's much more private than talking on the streets.” said the merchant. ‘The fish has bitten the bait.’ What Luke had given the merchant was a Silver bank note and it was worth a hundred Mana Stones. This one bank note was more valuable than gold coins that the merchant dealt with on a daily basis. … After entering the carriage and getting the privacy they needed, Luke immediately sprung into action. His hand turned into a sharp claw that he placed on the fat merchant’s neck, easily puncturing through his soft skin. “Make a noise then I'll decapitate you right here, right now, do you understand?” The chubby merchant could only nod, his body had turned pink and he was sweating profusely. “Don't worry, if you do as I tell you you to then not only will I spare you but this might also be your business opportunity. Now, what I want you to do is simple, I want you to smuggle her out of the city and ensure that she safely arrives in another city, whichever one she wants to go to, can you do that?” The merchant nodded but Luke wasn't convinced and continued to scare the man until he almost pissed his pants. What Luke didn't know was that he had an air of intimidation around him and this intimidating air would amplify whenever he got serious and stared at his target. Feeling convinced, Luke left the carriage, leaving Roberta and the fat merchant whose name was Brandon. In order for his plan to succeed, Luke planned to go to the city exit first, spy on his enemies for as long as he could, kill as many enemies as he could and chase after Roberta once she also left the city. … Days went by and finally, Brandon’s wagon convo was close to the city entrance, all they had to do was to be patient and wait for their turn to leave the city. Brandon was yet again sweating profusely due to nervousness, he didn't know whether things would go as planned or not, just then, an explosion occurred. Boooom!!! Two figures fell from a tall building, one of the figures wore
