At around 1 a.m, Luke woke up. Roberta was hugging his waist tightly and using his chest as her pillow. He gently caressed the face of the strong willed yet kind hearted woman. Yes, in Luke's eyes, Roberta was kind hearted and not because she treated him good but because she treated all her subordinates like family. Some of the guards, gardeners and butlers were criminals who should have been executed but she rescued them. Some of the servants and maids were prostitutes sold to slave traders or poor girls sold by their guardians for some cash. Everyone here except her was a slave but they weren't living the lives of slaves. They were actually free to do whatever they wanted, even free to leave but no one wanted to leave, they loved working for Roberta and would even give their lives for her. Whilst in deep thoughts, Luke heard sounds of footsteps coming from outside the mansion, approximately about 1 kilometre away from his current location. And it wasn't the footsteps of one person but three people in total. “Remember the mission, all we have to do is plant these items in inconspicuous places around the mansion. It doesn't have to be inside the house but wherever you leave the evidence, make sure no one can notice it until it's too late!” “Captain, haven't we done this a few times already, why do you always repeat the same stuff over and over again? We get, go in, plant the evidence and leave without a trace or being discovered, simple as that.” “Yeah, it's that simple. It's not like this is a life threatening task, it's just leaving something behind that's all.” “Just do as I tell you, do you understand? If you don't then don't blame me when the boss decides to get involved, hmph!” “Captain, don't say that. We'll definitely do whatever you tell us to do, no need to include the boss in this small stuff. Plus, we haven't messed up even once, why would we mess up now?” “Alright, let's quickly finish this task and return home to our wives, agreed?” “Agreed,” “Agreed,” … Even though these three men were whispering, to Luke, it was like they were speaking freely in front of him and mind you, he was about a kilometre away from these guys and he could still eavesdrop on them. ‘Mhm? Has trouble finally come knocking on Roberta's door?’ Luke thought to himself and didn't wake Roberta up to warn her of the danger outside. ‘I'll take care of this.’ … In the earliest mornings of the day, the full moon shone brightly in the sky, bringing light to the gloomy and dark remote area. The three men had already split up to complete their task. One chose to try his luck in the flower garden and the other underling chose the river as his mission point. Their leader however was planning on entering the mansion and leaving whatever he wanted to leave there inside the house. … The flower garden took quite a large portion of the land, about 200 square metres of land and all kinds of flowers and different plants were planted there including pruned trees, bushes and grass, to create a picturesque magical garden like taking a walk into a maze made by nature, it was just so beautiful. So beautiful in fact that the man who chose this place was completely enchanted by it. It was like he was walking through a fairy’s land. The man was so entranced by the sight before him that he didn't even realise someone…or something standing behind him. [It's beautiful, isn't it?] asked in a deep and beastly voice and the cloaked men involuntarily nodded. “Yes, it's absolutely beautiful…” The man realised after giving a response that something was wrong but it was already too late. The last thing he saw before his consciousness permanently left this world was a towering figure with black fur. Crunch* Crunch* Crunch* [Delicious…] … The other trespasser was at the riverbank, not knowing whether to bury his stuff under the trees, underground or even on the riverbed. ‘It should be a location that's not easily spotted but also a place believable to be a viable plac
