Chapter 21: Henrietta Claus ----- “I didn’t know you’ve watched TV already. Did you see me on TV?” Wondered the innocent-looking blonde girl. To be honest, she’s not a bad girl. She’s actually a very sweet person. And rather nice and gentle-hearted as well, from what I remember from the novel. However, there’s a big flaw in her character, and that’s her inability to reason at times and let her emotions get the better of her. What do I mean by that? Well, her powers and even the Constellation she serves are all around being a righteous paladin. She won’t escape from danger, and if she sees many people being attacked or suffering, instead of prioritizing her own safety, she’ll jump into danger to sacrifice herself just to help those in need. Is that a bad trait? Not really, but in the novel, this was always portrayed terribly. She often got in the way of Jack many times, forcing him to help people he didn’t care for. Sometimes she would try to stop him from killing people, even if they were fucked up criminals or psychopaths. Other times, she would get herself into danger and almost get killed, only for Jack to show up and protect her. She’s a “love interest” for obvious reasons, she has feelings for Jack, but her overly righteous and slightly self-centered personality makes her a bad… A rather bad match for my brother. Yet somehow, the author always portrayed them as “complementing one another”, though he wrote it terribly. But perhaps it can be different now. We’re in a pretty early stage of the plot. Maybe if I could help my brother be more sociable, and also help Henrietta think things better instead of acting, we could improve their weaknesses. “I-I… Yeah…” I sighed, pretending to know her from TV. “You’re Henrietta Claus, right? The A Rank Hunter known as the “Brilliant Paladin”! You’re so cool!” I can’t say I don’t like her whole aesthetic as a paladin. She’s really cool, nonetheless. But I was still pretending to admire her. I think she’s alright. Well, for one thing, she was a very pretty lady, so I suppose that’s a big plus. I wouldn’t mind her being my sister-in-law. “Heheh, is that so~?” She wondered while feeling all embarrassed. “I am just a humble hunter at the end of the day, so let’s not use mannerisms or anything like that if possible!” She quickly gave me a head pat while smiling at me. For being 17 I was awfully short, and Henrietta was one hell of a tall woman, she was around two meters in height, and my brother surpassed her by a tiny bit. “Yeah, let’s get along! I didn’t know you were my brother’s girlfriend.” I said with a smile. “G-Girlfriend?!” Henrietta suddenly bit her lip, blushing. “T-That’s not it! I am just his friend… A month ago he saved me from some Demonic Humans that ambushed me inside a Dungeon, since then I’ve been indebted to him.” Yeah, my brother rescued her from the Demonic Humans that serve Lilith, the Demoness of Lust. They are a group of degenerates, obsessive perverts that kidnap people to drain them of their powers using their special abilities. And I won’t go into more detail about how they do that. My brother happened to find her inside that very dungeon, and after slaughtering the demonic humans, he rescued her. She’s really in love with him, the typical “good girl” obsessed with a “bad boy” that she wants to “fix”. It’s kind of cute. [The Character [Henrietta Claus] has a good first impression of you.] [Due to the effects of the [Little Sister F: Lv2] Skill, this first impression has been amplified!] [She has a VERY good impression of you and seems to be very interested in you as well.] [The [Little Sister F: Lv2] Skill has reached Level 3!] What the heck, so that’s how I level up the Little Sister Skill? No wonder I had no idea how to use it, it activates automatically and gains EXP based on how I influence people with my words and my high Charm Stat. “Hey, Henrietta, I told you to not enter my sister’s room!” My brother quickly came running here. “She’s still sleeping, and I
