When they turned on the lights, the third ophan was was sitting on the floor, leaning against the couch. Her name was Bread and she didn’t have a shirt on, but was thankfully wearing a bra. Blasted out of her mind, her red eyes were filled with unadulterated fear, which melted away instantly. ‘It’s just you guys,’ she said with a raspy voice. ‘My two favorite… guys.’ The girl squinted at the light then pulled out sunglasses from behind her and put them on. ‘You real?’ ‘More than you are right now,’ Sugar said. She went to a small window at the end of the room and popped it open. ‘Also call me, C’s girlfriend, and him, S’s boyfriend.’ Cake was slowly inching his way toward the bedroom on the left when his head snapped back at the comment. ‘I- What?’ He didn't sign up to be a boyfriend. The pink girl then scowled at the girl on the floor. 'B what are you even doing here?' Bread was a weird girl. She was older than Cake, but was also adopted last. Not much was expected of her and she mostly just lazed around. Bread turned on the screen just then on a local news channel, 'I'm watching TV.' She gave a lazy smirk. ‘Are you guys going to be a thing now?’ Sugar went up to Cake who froze at the open door. She riffled through his pockets and stone his phone before jumped onto the couch, slapping the top of Bread’s blonde head along the way. ‘Ew! NO! Well, maybe, but I need to think about that more. It’s so that I’m more mature. Only mature people have boyfriends, right?’ The girl on the floor just shrugged and looked to a confused Cake for answers. ‘Yes,’ he said, opening another door. The safety of his bedroom is only one step away. Sugar continued her chatter while playing on the phone, 'besides he's the best and only candidate. Dark and handsome and we can skip the tall part. It is a shame that he's not taller than me. I'll work that with a domination angle thing. This all for my new streaming account. Since LiveLive booted me, it's free pickings for new socials. The new me is going to have a new brand and that brand includes a boyfriend. I think if I can get enough fans to knock our doors mom's gonna have to notice that this isn't just a fad...' Her talk droned on and on. What was this even about? Cake thought trying to analyze the words. Doesn't matter! We're so close! Just a few more inches- Bread inevitably asked, ‘hey, S’s boyfriend, why do you have a giant blue suitcase?’ The pink girl stopped talking. A cold sweat covered Cake's back before the question. He wanted to lie. It was how he had convinced everyone else to keep his questionable stuff around. But this was different; the case in his hands stood out. Big, colorful. It smelled like money. Cake decided to tear the bandaid off rather than look like an idiot. They were like siblings to him. They could keep a secret, right? ‘I stole it from the lockers in front of Royal.’ Bread was unsurprised. ‘Oh. Cool,’ she said picking up a remote and trying to change the screens channel. On the other hand, Sugar was back in full swing. She sat up, hands to her face, dark hair framing a fake, scandalous face. ‘GASP! Did you really? My goodness, we need to go to the popo right away. Prison is the new pink.’ She pulled out a pink phone. ‘Let's dial 9-’ ‘Nonononono!’ Cake went to the couch and begged on his knees, looking down, case. ‘I’ll share!’ ‘You are such a good boyfriend! He’s such a good boyfriend, so providing.’ Sugar pats his head before making room on the couch. ‘Let’s see what’s inside.’ Cake gulped. Involving them was a huge mistake. What could be done, though? Bread acted aloof most of the time, but Cake was sure that if anyone pressed her, she would fold instantly. And who knows where Sugar was going with this boyfriend routine? He put the case on the couch and opened it, filling the room with a bright light.
