He rapidly blinked his eyes, but still saw only darkness. “What is this? Did I go blind?” “Hah! Sigh… ” Frustrated, Victor tried to rub his face, but discovered he couldn’t feel his hands. “Now what… Let’s see, I can't feel the legs too,” he sighed again. He felt helpless and stopped talking for some time. After a moment of silence, Victor’s murmuring voice echoed. “Is this death? So, I did explode, huh… But there’s also another possibility too…” He then shouted, “Hey, the person who is trying to possess my body! Reply!” Victor continued shouting, but no reply came. But he didn’t give up and continued shouting. Victor was prepared for this; their group had discussed such possibilities. After what felt like a few days, Victor, who was still shouting to get a response by annoying the person, saw a small, faint light appear in the darkness. “Huh? What is that?” Victor was elated after finally getting a response. Suddenly, he felt something. “I can finally feel something… but why is my body in this state?” He had no face, no hands, no feet, no torso—nothing that resembled a human. He was just a blob of gas. What is this weird shape? Am I reincarnating into a slime or what? As Victor was contemplating whether to continue shouting to change his shape, he felt his body moving. “Ouch! What is this pain? Ouch ouch... Argh!” Victor was suddenly overwhelmed by pain as his body continued to move in the direction of the bleak light. “Fuck! Is this guy trying to torture me? But don’t think I will break that easily!” Victor gritted his teeth as he felt the pain coursing through him. He felt as if someone was tearing and hammering his body continuously. “Mmph!”. The pain continued. Victor, at first, was cursing, but his curses soon turned to muffled groans as the pain continued to increase, as the pain continued to increase at a steady rate. After what felt like eternity, the pain gradually subsided as only a huffing sound echoed Victor’s body, which now was no longer a blob, silently floated silently towards the only light source in the darkness. “Fuu... Did that guy get bored after torturing me? Or am I repenting for sins after death? HUH? I am no longer a floating jelly!” Victor shouted in happiness. He clenched his fist and threw some punches and kicks. “This is much better! Though I am still somewhat like gas, at least having a humanoid shape is much better. But where am I going?” Victor looked at his surroundings once again, and the bleak light which looked like a star. “I feel like floating in space.” “What in the world is happening? This is getting boring! Good thing I talked with my parents last night... I guess this might be the last talk...” Victor sighed once more as he looked at the light spot, which looked like a star. “I don't know what is happening, but why do I feel strangely peaceful? Is this a trick to erode my mind?” Victor's voice once again echoed. He began to think about his time with Noir when he would watch anime, read novels to pass the time, and his time with his mom and dad. “Damn it! How much longer? I feel like I am going insan— ” Victor stopped cursing as he felt his body come to a halt. “Did we reach? But that star is still small, but if it is a star, then it is better to stop.” Victor sighed in relief and waited for the next thing to happen. “What the hell? Shouldn't something happen by now?” Victor cursed once again as he felt his mental health deteriorating. Suddenly, he saw a second light spot appear. “Finally, Something!” Victor laughed out loud. He waited for his body to drift once more, but it didn't. Instead, another light spot appeared. “Huh! Now there are three, no four… let's count.” Victor began to count as the number of light spots began to increase, one by one, and light spots continued to appear. More and more light spots began to fill
