Caelen Vance was supposed to die in Chapter One. Not metaphorically. Not “almost died but awakened hidden powers” died. Actually executed. Publicly. By axe. Unfortunately for the plot, Caelen remembers the game he reincarnated into. And unfortunately for the world, he just unlocked the single most broken ability imaginable: Endless Concept Extraction Touch anything. Steal one of its concepts. Permanently. Sharpness from swords. Durability from shields. Intent to Kill from monsters. Later? Luck. Identity. Memories. Even Divine Authority itself. There’s only one catch: He can only extract once every 24 hours. Now trapped inside the brutal dark-fantasy RPG Apocalypse: Reforged as a talentless noble bastard with a dead mana core and a 30-day countdown to execution, Caelen has exactly one goal: Survive quietly. Get rich illegally. Avoid every main character. Retire before the apocalypse. Naturally, everything goes horribly wrong. The future Ice Tyrant overseeing his execution becomes suspicious of him. The regressed heroine meant to save the world thinks he’s a timeline-breaking demon. A terrifying demon assassin starts living inside his shadow after he accidentally frees her from slavery. And a merchant genius keeps trying to convert emotional intimacy into legally binding business contracts. Now Caelen must survive political conspiracies, eldritch horrors, noble assassins, and the increasingly violent cold war between four dangerously competent women all while pretending he is absolutely, definitely, completely normal. Which becomes difficult after he accidentally removes a monster’s “Intent to Kill” and gives it an existential crisis. After all… It’s hard to stay a background character when you’re secretly stealing the concepts holding the world together.

Xian died uncovering a hidden route in Rozenfall: Romance and Ruin, a fantasy academy dating sim game, neglecting himself in hopes of reaching the game's doomed villainess. He soon found himself before mysterious entities who were impressed by the dedication that led to his demise. As punishment disguised as a reward, they cast him into the very game world he had obsessed over, tasking him with reaching its so-called True End. Awakening in the very scene he had finally uncovered, Xian stands before the villainess he had been trying to save. Only for her to order his execution. His new life ended as soon as it began. But as if it were a cruel joke, he opened his eyes once again, standing before the very same villainess who wanted him dead. Equipped with the knowledge he accumulated through countless playthroughs, Xian has no intention of following any ending imposed by either the game or the mysterious entities. Instead, he'll pursue what no one had ever achieved in the game, an ending where none of the heroines he cherished are left behind, especially the untouchable villainess. But the moment he awakened on the villainess' route, Xian realized he wasn't walking the path of the game's protagonist anymore. Every decision now led to outcomes he had never seen in the game. A blessing in disguise is too good to be true, and what you deem happiness, others may deem madness. What to Expect Fantasy academy with mystery, politics, and action. A protagonist who succeeds through preparation, deduction, and planning. Character-driven romance with multiple heroines. Long-term foreshadowing and planned payoffs. Progression where every victory comes with consequences. Updates will roughly be 1 to 2 chapters a week past chapter 40

Arc Sandhurst will become a mech pilot, even if it kills him. After his sister's ship is attacked by the Pirate Queen of Nepenthe with all hands lost, Arc enters the Imperial Mech Academy on the deathworld Vidako in order to get revenge. The academy is the only place that the son of a silk-worker can get the enhancements that are required to pilot a mech - but first, Arc will have to survive disagreeable roommates, hazing from upperclassmen, the friendship of an imperial princess, and the steaming jungles of Vidako. Regardless of what Arc wants, the Imperium Stellarum will need every good pilot it can get - because empires are built on a foundation of blood, and the sins of the first emperors are about to come due. Lost fleets lurk on the edge of known space; the ruins of ancient races are spread across long-dead worlds; and enemies thought defeated gather their strength once again. War is coming to the Imperium. What to Expect: An intelligent but imperfect MC who progresses in capability and rank over the course of the series. Think the story arc of a Richard Sharpe, Horatio Hornblower, or Honor Harrington. MC will begin as a 4th class cadet and climb the ranks, gaining more autonomy and political power as the years pass. If you want to watch someone climb from cadet to admiral, this is the story for you. Progression elements include genetic modifications, cybernetic implants, humans paired with AI partners, and, of course, upgrading and customizing mechs through battlefield salvage and cutting edge tech. The mech bits are where you'll find the crunch - expect lots of models, variants, and weapon loadouts. Multiple POVs will offer a view of what supporting characters and antagonists are up to, but the focus (and majority of the chapters) will always remain on Arc. The first volume is roughly 80% MC, 20% other POVs, with most of those being the deuteragonist. Power Couple: All characters are over the age of 18, and begin in a military academy environment designed to produce officers. It is my intent to build a relationship into the power couple trope, but expect political foolery and arranged marriage complications along the way, and keep in mind that the characters have to navigate the rules of serving in the Imperial Fleet. HFY: Humanity, and the Imperium Stellarum, are at their core a force for good in the universe. They are flawed, but trying to do the right thing and are in many ways exceptional / aspirational. Four alien species have joined the Imperium because they want to be part of what humanity is building, and see its potential. Slow Burn with character development, politics, conspiracies, and secrets which lead to brutal action. I intend to do at least a volume for each of the four years at the academy, and then a volume each per rank. If things follow the plan I've sketched out, expect 13+ volumes. Inspirations include Battletech, Gundam, Dune, Babylon 5, and Twilight Imperium, among others. Content Warnings: Graphic Violence - This story will feature science fiction battles with mechs as a primary element. Expect people, animals, and places to be lit on fire with enormous flamethrowers, cut in half with plasma swords, crushed under enormous metal feet, and otherwise dismembered. Profanity - The characters in this story are actively serving combat personnel. They will swear. Sensitive Content - Soldiers get PTSD. Alcohol and drugs exist in the universe. Some of those in power abuse their position to traffic or take advantage of those without power. Bad guys do bad guy things. Update Schedule: Five chapters a week, M-F. Any vacations will be announced in advance. Cover by Sarah Murphy. Mech Art by Victor Yañez. There is no use of AI, in any way, in this work. I use em-dashes because I like them, particularly when trying to create dialogue that starts and stops in the way people actually talk. This story is posted on Royal Road, Novelpedia, and my Patreon. The story started between two prodigies with different backgrounds. Yuri Yoshima, a 16-year-old high schooler with a good reputation. A Valedictorian, known to be popular thanks to academics. A student council president And a girl who performs well at some sports. And among all, she's a "Major". But she was known for her ego and fear of losing the spotlight despite being angelic and respectful. Jiro Arashi, a 17-year-old high schooler who seems like an average, calm, introverted "D" student, was quietly under pressure, tensions, and dealing with an unfair school system since the middle school era. Yet his musical abilities made him push anything beyond limits, a payback for his negatives. Started from strangers, to rivals, and evolving into something more...

It all started before the pandemic, the world wanted to recover from a century marked by wars and crises. It was as if new stories were being added to the library of humanity… But little did we know, that in those stories there was a remaining mold from a forgotten era. A plague that silently settled over time… Thanks to this, the powers we received from the books were no longer seen as gifts. Now, they became the reason for our ruin. Could this story left to me… be the last scream of that decaying library? Signed: Agent Clover. 2025.

“You’ve brought famine to the kingdom.” “You’re the reason our valuable ore mines collapsed.” “The World Tree is dying because of you.” “You’re the reason my wife divorced me.” "who the hell said the last one- oh jerry not again " Faced with an endless storm of accusations, the lonely figure could only ask a single bewildered question “…I did?”
